Important Note: Backup important files stored on internal SD card of your device, so that in case a situation arises requiring you to do a factory reset after flashing stock firmware, which might delete internal sd card too, your files will remain safe on PC.
- Extract/Unzip the Odin zip file, Latest Odin3 v3.09.zip on your computer (using 7-zip free software, preferably) to get this file: Odin3 v3.09.exe
- Extract/Unzip the Firmware zip file, I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT.zip on your computer (using 7-zip free software, preferably) to get this file: I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_I337UCUAMDL_HOME.tar.md5
- Move the firmware file, I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_I337UCUAMDL_HOME.tar.md5, in the same folder in which you extracted Latest Odin3 v3.09.zip (Just for your convenience, that is). So, now you’ll have the following files in that folder:
- Odin3 v3.09.exe
- I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_I337UCUAMDL_HOME.tar.md5
- Disconnect the AT&T Galaxy S4 from PC if it is connected.
- Double-click the Odin3 v3.09.exe file to open Odin.
- Boot your AT&T Galaxy S4 into Download Mode:
- Power off your phone first and wait for 6-7 seconds after display is off
- Press and hold these 3 buttons together until you see Warning! screen: Volume Down + Power + Home
- Press Volume Up now to continue to Download Mode
- Connect your Galaxy S4 to PC. Odin window will show an Added!! message in bottom left box. Odin’s screen would look like this:
If you don’t get the Added! message, here are some troubleshooting tips:- Make sure you have installed driver for Galaxy S4 as said above in ‘Before you begin.’ section.
- If you have already installed driver, then uninstall them and re-install back.
- Connect using a different USB port on your PC.
- Try a different USB cable. The original cable that came with your phone should work best, if not, try any other cable that’s new and of good quality.
- Reboot phone and PC and then try again.
- Load the firmware file (extracted in Step 1) into Odin as instructed below:
- Click on the AP button on Odin and select the I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_I337UCUAMDL_HOME.tar.md5 file (from step 1). Your Odin window should look like the screenshot below:

- Now in the Option section of Odin, make sure that Re-Partition box is unchecked. (Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes remain checked, while all other boxes remain unchecked.)
- Double check the above two steps.
- Click the Start button to begin flashing stock firmware on your AT&T Galaxy S4 SGH-I337, and wait until you see a PASS! message in Odin’s top left box.
- When you get PASS! message, your phone will restart automatically. You can then disconnect your phone from PC.
If you see FAIL message instead of the PASS in Odin’s top left box, that’s a problem. Try this now: disconnect your Galaxy S4 from PC, close Odin, remove phone’s battery and put it back inside in 3-4 seconds, open Odin and then repeat from Step 3 of this guide again.

How to install official Android 4.2.2 XXUAMDK firmware on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 – manually step by step guide.
- Firstly download the Android 4.2.2 I9500XXUAMDK file for Samsung Galaxy S4 to your PC, after the download is complete extract the zip file content to your PC.
- SecondlyDownload ODIN app v3.07, with this application you’ll flash the XXUAMDK Android 4.2.2 on the Galaxy S4 I9500.
- Now, Power OFF your device and after that reboot it into Download Mode. To do that you need press and keep holding the Volume Down and the Home buttons simultaneous, and then press the Power button till the Android logo with a triangle are displayed. Confirm with the Power button again to enter into the Download Mode.
- Open the ODIN app on your PC, and while your device is in the Download Mode connect the Galaxy S4 device to the PC
- After the device has been connected successfully on the Odin interface theID:COM area will be colored yellow and is displayed the COM port number, be patient this step can take some time to be complete.

- Important: Make sure that in ODIN interface the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options are checked. Check the Re-Partition option only in case if you selected a .pit file above.
- When you want to begin the updating process click on START button in ODIN app. When you’re starting the updating process, you need to wait a few minutes to complete the installation of firmware in the S4 device.
- When the flashing process is completed, your Galaxy S4 device will restart.
- Disconnect your device to the PC when the home screen is displayed.
Congratulation, now your Samsung Galaxy S4 device has been updated to last Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean XXUAMDK firmware. To verify if your device has this latest update you can go to Settings > About menu, and from there you can read the version of the firmware installed on your device.
